Hi all,

As part of a larger issue I've been checking the OBD2 port as well as the under-hood connector on a 2007 Santa Fe 2.7L A/T FWD.

Per AllData I have pins 1, 2, and 13 on the OBD2 interface showing K-Line but only pin 1 reads the appropriate voltage with the other two being around 0.08V and ohming to ground (0.7 mOhms on pin 2 and 55 kOhms on pin 13). Does anyone know if these other pins should have the standard K-Line voltage with the key on?

My SnapOn Modis is unable to communicate with the PCM but can communicate with the BCM, A/C, and Airbag modules. Hi-Scan can communicate with the PCM very intermittently sometimes taking as much as 20 minutes to get a connection to command solenoids.

Hoping someone can enlighten me on this system so I know if I'm going down the right path or if I'm wasting time.

Thanks all!

Files attached.

I ended up connecting my SnapOn Modis OBD2 cable with the K-5A key and it looks like the scanner handles jumping those lines so I have good voltage on all 3 now without it being hooked up to the Modis itself, just the cable.

When I connect the right side PCM connector (C30A) it brings the voltage down on those same 2 lines to half of whatever it was. Left side (C30B) has no effect.

K-Line voltage key off on both pins is 6V, key on is 11V.
K-Line voltage with PCM connected on both pins is 3V, key on is 6V.

I jumper wired some of the PCM connections just to get it to boot without connecting to any sensors and I'm reading good voltage and communication on the K-Line.

Anyone have any ideas for what I should do, just keep jumper wiring (a little tedious since they're so small but doable) or should I start disconnecting some sensors and see if my voltage drops? Or is there a better way to figure out what my problem circuit is?

Thanks!
