LAN to USB may not work as it is not what the device and protocols are expecting.

And never assume it works, hook it up to a LAN device or network and verify.,

I bought a used laptop a few years ago and mucked about for ages with no connection, only to find out the port was broken.

Or plug the device into a home PC to test.

Have tried another computer and lan cable . Same result. Looks like a faulty unit

I'll test my cable later to see what pins are actually used.

Not sure if they use a straight or crossover setup

I tested with a cheapy RJ45 cable tester.

With this, it lights up as 1, 2, 6 and G as connected. Seems odd wiring. So I doubt a normal RJ45 lead would work ?

And yes, if the unit has 5v power the green LED on the LAN port is lit. The other must flash with comms

Had mine display that message and also would sometimes disconnect while in use. I noticed that it does that when you move the wires, I guess it doesn't like being moved. Disconnecting both wires and reconnecting seems to fix it. I didn't pull the wires or anything but it would just do that. I had to close and reopen the program, fortunately the MT remembers your last settings and it will be the same the next time you fire it up.

That's standard wiring but should also have continuity on 3. Since you're using an off brand cable tester might want to use a DMM to check whether the cable is straight or pass thru'.

I'm trying to buy a Rotkee, but MoneyGram requires certain info that I can't find on the Rotkee web site.
Can anybody message me with that info?
I need:
1. the legal name of the guy I'm sending money to
2. the tax number
3. the international banking account number.
Thanx...Chris

Thanx guys, I had done that already.
Just wondered if that worked, b/c it takes them forever to answer!

Sorry cadman, wasn't trying to berate you. It's definitely a lengthy process. :( It was a good two months between submitting the order and getting the package.

No worries Tyler, no offense taken.
I was just wondering about the process is all.
Glad to hear 2 witnesses to the procedure.
Can't wait to get mine and use it on a hard to diagnose job!

Any of you guys try using MoneyGram to buy the Rotkee?
Reason I ask is b/c it's not accepting the info that Eugene sent.
I tried on two computers under my roof and on my buddy's cell phone.
Everything works until we hit the SEND button.
Then it says 'try at another time or try w/another bank account'.
Anybody have any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?
Thanx...

I used Transferwise and it was a pain in the hole.

I first sent money to details provided in US$ as this was his quoted prices...then he said he needed it to be in Euros as I was in Europe.

This meant I had to cancel the transaction and start again and in doing so my card provider charged me £18 each time as it deems these cash transactions so there is a small charge.

But in general, the process was difficult. But the product itself is great value.

I used 'Wise' as well. Was not a fun experience. Took weeks to go through, and pissed off my credit card fraud protection in the process.

Thanx Guys.
Guess I'll keep trying w/MoneyGram.
I'll bet the banksters want MG to force their customers to do everything via credit card or direct bank transaction.
I'm doing mine by the 'case at the local branch' method.
Besides, 'Wise' is over an hour away, so 'no can do'.
Guess I'll send Eugene another message asking how to fix this.
Thanx for the help!

I also bought an in-cylinder internal pressure pressure pulse sensor using Wise.
