Ha! First thing I did was off to see if there was a GM link- I guess I missed it though..

I see the ECU has a hardwired ACC voltage signal, need to get deeper into it but will have to wait. I think the clue is in the 2 docs you posted...

That's my thinking, everything works except the doors (and the hood of course!) so if the BCM or it's circuit or input goes down then no back up.
Owner hinted that there had previously been a lot of hours put into chasing this issue so I am expecting something pretty complicated !

Appreciate the moral support. Stuck on the lack of a Tech 2 solution to the hood at the moment so have desk thinking time!
