Key on, not running.

Also did not go to Nissan today because my passenger side wheel bearing is bad, and has a lot of play. So I didn't want to drive 1.5hrs from to Denver to be told I needed to replace one, I just ordered a new set and will put it in on Friday. Then hopefully that will at least take care of the SLIP light but there is a chance it could fix everything.

You may be onto something there. Those codes are all tied in closely to the wheel bearing. Sounds like a good idea to fix that and then see where you're at.

As far as the 10.8 volts is concerned, can you test that with the engine running? I'm interested to see if it's quite a bit higher with the engine running.

Will do, I can check the v to the sensors this afternoon. Nissan guy tended to think it was an issue and that there was resistance in the line somewhere.

I agree with you on the wheel hub and I am kinda kicking myself for not replacing the assemblies as I just changed out wheel speed sensors. It would explain why that did not work because I know the tolerance for the tone ring and wss have to be spot on and if they are off it trips all kinds of codes.

Either way like I said I did not want to drive to Denver and have the tech tell me that the wheel hub was toast and that needed to be done first before they could diag the rest of the issues. They agreed when I called them and told them, they said yea change that out then come down haha. They also said it could fix all the problems or not.

I am also thinking about buying some software to read codes on my truck, there are several companies that make a version of the Consult II Nissan code reader.

Sounds good, keep us informed on those voltage readings.

No luck with the wheel hubs, but they needed a replacement anyway.

Got my hands on a cheaper scan tool and it will read ABS/SRS and TCM. It will not read my ABS it says vehicle not equipped, ahah well it has ABS so CAN wire issue there. In reading up on the codes Nissan says to fix the U1001 first so I will be crawling over the truck again for a ground issue.

The frustration level is an all-time high.

Well, let's not get frustrated yet.

Backing up a bit, did you ever get that voltage reading with the vehicle running? I'm still curious about that part.

Second, you say the scan tool doesn't communicate with the ABS module, correct?

Are the other modules in the vehicle setting the U1001 code, and does it say 'lost communication with ABS module' or something similar to that?

You say it is a CAN wire issue, but I wouldn't say that's a sure thing at all. A module could be off line for a lot reasons, bad power/ground at module, faulty module, software issue (programmed wrong or something), the list goes on.

Backing up a bit, did you ever get that voltage reading with the vehicle running? I'm still curious about that part. - I did not but I can do this tomorrow.

Second, you say the scan tool doesn't communicate with the ABS module, correct? Yes, when I scan the system it tells me that the vehicle is not equipped with ABS. But writing this I need to contact the manufacturer the scan tool is good but it is not a snap-on level.

Are the other modules in the vehicle setting the U1001 code, and does it say 'lost communication with ABS module' or something similar to that?
It says the ECM is setting the U1001 and P1212. For ABS it is like above it says not equipped.

You say it is a CAN wire issue, but I wouldn't say that's a sure thing at all. A module could be offline for a lot reasons, bad power/ground at module, faulty module, software issue (programmed wrong or something), the list goes on. - Understood.

Thank you I really appreciate the help.
