Headlight switch on 1998 Ford ranger was created by Carfreek
Trying to wire my headlight switch on my 1998 Ford ranger. Dark blue with orange stripe comes from fuse 12 to headlight switch. Red wire with yellow stripe goes from headlight switch o multi function switch. The last 5 wire colors are
Brown
Black
Yellow with red stripe
Tan with white stripe
Blue with red stripe
Can someone help explain to me where each of these wires goes and what each turns on so i can wire this switch.
A colored wiring diagram would help. Thanks in advance.

I don't have access to the Mitchell colored diagrams right now. Hopefully the OE will do.
The diagram below contains the majority of wires you're looking for:
The only wire that doesn't show up in that diagram is your yellow/red. I've been over the other lighting diagram, and can't find it.
You're positive you're looking at that wire color?

Definitely. The #11 7.5A fuse in the instrument panel fuse box feeds the headlight switch AND the instrument cluster. Betcha it's blown, if you haven't found that already.
