98 Crown Vic LX Fuel Pump

Please give us a measurement of the fuel pump ground wire during cranking or running and then with just the key on.


I finally realized you meant to check the pump wires separately - key on

Body ground to pump feed - 6 volts
Body ground to pump ground - 0 volts
Body ground to relay - 6 volts
Fuel pressure cranking - 0

And I still have 12 V prime and 11 V cranking.

I did have help yesterday and while cranking I beat the tank with rubber mallet - no joy.

Seeing I have almost no testing equipment I'll have it towed to my nephew's shop,
let him pull his hair out. :(
