 Yeah really like it. It's not Snap-on quality but it's pretty decent, definitely for that price!

Speaking of Snappy, I saw this kit show up in the most recent flyer:

store.snapon.com/6-and-12-Volt-Circuit-T...ter-Kit-P889623.aspx

$200+? For an LED light? Noooooope, I'll take the Kent-Moore, thanks. :P

I wonder what it would cost to have these guys make a hundred of them over in China?

  That's awesome! Is it bad I kinda wanna get a quote?

What should the script be? "ScannerDanner.com", "DON'T BE A PARTS CHANGER"?

Also, got some more use out of the homemade light. Can confirm, works well with the AESWave uTest kit .

You pulled the trigger on the U Test kit? Nice!

Looks like a Chrysler trans? Jeep maybe?

Nah, I wish. :( The shop bought that kit from the Matco truck. Though, using it really makes me want one of my own.

Points for you! 2006 Heep Grand Cherokee. How'd you know? The trans pan?

Bump

I just stumbled across this video and have ordered the parts to make this. I haven't seen Danner using the PP probe extension like this, or anyone else for that matter. If someone has been then I missed it! It doesn't address the need for a banana jack on the tip end but I have an idea of my own for that. When I get it made I'll post it here.

Well, my idea turns out not to be original. At 8:49 of this video he shows what I was thinking.

I ordered the Power Probe PN3049 20' extension cable and the PN3046 clip set which showed up today. Now just waiting for a couple of banana jacks and alligator clips from Mouser.com. I wanted a nice banana connector and clip so I bought the following:

www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/548-BU-6161-M-39-2
and
www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/548-BU-65-0

I'll simply cut the ends off the test lead and have two banana connectors.

I took the flare off an old male test lead and just slid it into my testlight.

It's inconspicuous, and doesn't get in the way if i don't want to add an accessory to the tip of the light.

I also soldered a male end on the cord. Now I can use my back probes or whatever I want on each end of the test light.
