"Boy am I glad I have found this site. Phrases of "out on a limb" and "nobody to turn to" have sprung to mind! I'm brand new to automotive oscillators and have recently purchased a Hantek 1008. My core hobby is rebuilding cars, this particular venture is a Ford Capri rebuild with a Cosworth V6 24V (BOA) engine. The engine itself was sourced locally, as an unfinished project, came as engine plus PCM plus "Capri friendly" modified loom. The engine is rigged up on a personally constructed timber frame testbed, essentially mimicking the Capri engine bay, with absolutely everything exposed which is a definite plus. It runs and is mostly OK, but still have a nagging random misfire at idle, which led me to this site. I will open a new post on the forum, and it will be absolutely fantastic to connect with a few like-minded people on this forum, it's a godsend for me seriously. Cheers"

# ## Welcome to the forum
Capri story: 45+ years back I had a very slight connection with one of the original Zakspeed 2.6 litre Capr Mk1 Goup 2 race cars when it very briefly passed through the hands of Scottish Special Saloon racer Douglas Niven and was transplanted with the Ford V8 from his written off Boss Escort.
I recall the stunning car was beautifully built every fabricated was a work of art finished with nickle plating. the suspension at the front was double wishbone F1 style of the era and the live axle was very effectively located. Dougie Niven didn't keep it long only a couple of races it was replaced by his famous Chevy V8 Beetle Super Saloon.
