I am in session 5 of san tool training - i am using the verus pro so it is not exactly the same as the teacher but so far ive been able to closely match everything SD has shown-- in session 5 we go the the list and pick EGR control-(26: 04)and i just cant see/find that --i see it only in generic
i wish i was there---!! ??

What is offered on a scantool menu can depend great deal on the vehicle model and Scantool software update.
Sometimes updates aren't always advantageous I recently updated my Launch and found a couple of live data PIDs no longer work.
Using a scantool comand is by far the best way to test EGR operation but sometimes you have to use more basic electrical or vacuum methods to check the EGR is free and clear and being commanded.
I still have a cheap eBay hand vacum pump for the purpose
