My name is Shane. I'm 28. I am an Automotive Service Technician for a local GM dealership. I've been in the repair industry for just over 1 year. My main emphasis is on heavy-line diagnostics and repair and I'm wanting to become a better diagnostician and NOT BE A PARTS CHANGER unlike the rest of the people I've worked with in my current dealership. But as some of you may know, trying to follow GM's diagnostics can be a challenge. Especially for me due to needing to know exact procedures for diagnosing issues.
Just bought the ScannerDanner Engine Performance book and I'm excited for it to come in the mail. I'm hoping to get more books as finances dictate. I want to try and move away from OEM diagnostics unless the best method is to use OEM diagnostics.
