Hi all, thanx for having me here. My name is Cedric, all the way from Cape Town, South Africa. My interests.....mmmm. Cars, electronics, woodwork, photography and my family. Not in that order :-)

Proud owner of a MB W210 e280 with the M112 engine, and a run around mk4 jetta V5 AGZ engine fitted. Some say I have aged quite a bit since taking ownership of the MB, around 100000 grey hairs more.

Thanx for having me here.

Hi Wyeth ---- know what you mean about about Mercs. I am old enough to remember when they were pretty well bullet proof. Years back for work I visted Cape Town a lot to join ships off the cape by helicopter.

Thanks for joining!
I had a sweet green W210 E320 station wagon with the triple brown interior.

That one was short lived. Smashed in the driver's doors while my wife was driving it home. I sold it to a guy who shipped it to Africa of all places!

Thanks to working in a junk yard, the very next day I had her driving another Merc wagon...
A Mercury Sable wagon, lol!

When I was so much younger than today I had 63 model Mercedes W110 fintail with a mileage on it worthy of the USS Enterpize ---- little 190 1.9 litre 4 cylinder single carb engine ---- not exactly a lot of power but had very long gearing and the fuel consumption was brilliant it handled well and tyres would for last 90,000 miles. We used to do a lot of work on the 220SE 6 cylinder models with the ancient mechanical fuel injection similar to old style diesel system --- those were great cars when new but once the injection pumps wore they would over fuel and wet the spark plugs at idle We eventually discovered it was barrometric correction in the injection pumps.
