I enjoy driving older vehicles, and working on them. The main vehicle I work on is a 1995 Chevy G30 Beauville extended 12 passenger van. It is OBD1, and I have been looking for information on how to diagnose these older cars without OBDII or a scan tool. I do have a laptop which I can connect to the OBD1 computer, I can program chips, though I am just learning about what to change in those chips!
My current challenge is figuring out a rough running, missing and sometimes detonating engine problem. This led me to searching on how to use a scope on an engine, which led me to ScannerDanner. Just using a test light, and cranking over an engine I can learn so much about how it's running!
Thank you ScannerDanner for your teachings, and youtube channel, and for hosting this forum. I am excited to learn more, get my vehicle in tip top shape, and take a road trip soon!
