I work in a fleet shop and to be honest have resisted falling into the parts changer mentality as we see a lot of the same thing and most just swap out parts day in and day out instead of fully utilizing the tools available and interpreting the data accordingly. A little over a week ago I received a hardcopy of the book and it has re-kindled that diagnostic drive I had years ago straight out of trade school.

I'm just a civilian, I'll never make a dime from my repairs, but that book is great. I'll still parts change if it's "cheap and likely" but I am slowly learning to waste less money and get better results.

Welcome , I know exactly what you mean :-) when you see the same models of vehicles getting the same type of use day in day out your brain gets switched off. Anybody who has looked after a fleet or worked at a dealership falls into the pattern :-(
