Hi Ive been watching scannerdanners videos for a while now and recently have gotten more interested in diagnostics. A long term issue I have with a vehicle I own is what got me into diagnostics more and made me decide to subscribe to this site. Ill be posting that vehicle issue in the other forum.
I am a small excavation business owner. I worked in an automotive shop for a short time about 10 years ago. I work on a lot of everything on a regular basis. Engine performance and mechanical diagnostics is two things I've been wanting to learn more of. I currently have an old Autel maxidys that Im looking at replacing with an Autel mx900. I have an old Snap on modis I stopped using years ago but am currently trying to refurb and use for a lab scope. Gonna place an order at aeswave.com soon for some leads, an amp probe and ignition pickup.
Currently have their Advanced terminal test kit and that has been super helpful in testing all sorts of stuff.
Thanks

Welcome the forum Josh. Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself!
I have been using 10' Amazon leads on my Verus Edge for quite some time now with no issues. By all means, shop to your hearts content at AES wave, but you need the fancy leads that are marketed specialy for the Modis

Thank you. Oh good to know I'll take a look. So the modis leads are different than the verus?

No, all the snap on branded leads have been the same for 20 years as far as I can tell, but you don't need the ones with the built in ground lead. Any leads with 4mm banana jacks will work just fine.
