Hi folks. I'm an older bloke (75), long since retired heavy vehicle mechanic. Once upon a time last century I was the service manage at the local Case/IH truck and farm machinery dealership when electronics were being introduced into tractors and combine harvesters - before being introduced into trucks. Virtually all my paid work was on diesel power vehicles and machinery. Consequently, I have minimal experience with electronics on modern vehicles. With kids, grandkids and my own small collection of vehicles, I have a reasonably good variety of issues to contend with - almost always a mechanical issue caused by a failed or worn part. However, in recent times I'm dealing with my sons 2007 Mercedes R300 A251 trailer wiring harness conundrum and my grandson's 2009 Suzuki Swift RS415 auto (not sold in USA) with an idling issue. I'll make a post elsewhere about the specifics.
