What's a good pass through device was created by bizz2222
Is there a programming pass through device out there that does it all ? I am new to programming was wondering what I would all need to do this I have been a mechanic for 30 plus years just tired of having to go elsewhere to get programming done. What for laptop would I need and a good pass through device that won't need updated every couple years is there 1 that does 2000 to current? Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

The CarDAQ plus 3, by Drewtech, would be a solid choice.

I second that choice. I use a Snap On Pass Thru IV that is just a Cardaq III in a red case.

Yes and no, I think there are some current model vehicles with faster data protocol then the tool was designed for.
It's important to know that the pass through is just an interface. As far as capability, you are at the mercy of the vehicle manufacturer as far as what your need to install or credits your need to buy for performing. Every manufacturer you work on is going to be completely different from one another. You will need to register an account with say General Motors for example. Then download and install their software (which is constantly being updated), then purchase credits for individual vehicles to program.
