Moderators - you hid the login well

Along with the new forum layout the login seems to have been removed from nearly every page. I finally found it on the left hand column of the site map page. A minor point as well, not sure about the new color scheme but that might just be me.

Hi Jeff, yeah it's all new to us as well.
Thanks for pointing out the login issue. By all means, if you see anything that doesn't mesh, continue to let us know!
There's not much the mods can do as far as modifying the site, but we can pass it along to Paul's webmaster Onyx.

Yes sir I agree. The login should also be on the forum page and I already mentioned the colors to Onyx

Not sure about the colors yet either. I am okay with whatever you guys suggest.
As for the login, part of that is my fault. I was getting a lot of emails with people trying to subscribe to the website to gain access to their ScannerDanner Premium account on YouTube. I had a really hard time explaining to people that the login is for the forum only!
So we talked about taking some of them away. If you have a suggestion that makes it very clear that the website sign up and login is for the forum and for leaving comments and NOT associated with SD Premium, I am all ears. Thanks guys!

What if it was specifically labeled "Forum Login"?

I wonder if this is part of the problem:

Having the login tab buried way under SD Premium ad on the homepage of the site could lead to some confusion.

I would only have the login option available after you've clicked on the "forum" tab.

Nice catch Noah! Definitely should consider changing this.

How do you guys feel about the auto log out as well? I don't mind it but the timer on it seems abit short, I find often I'll be watching a video in a post (normally 10 to 40 mins) and by the time I've gone to reply I've been logged out, I even spend that long re reading my own post before submitting it that ive been logged out because I've spent too long farting around

the auto login is due to as a security thing for people using other non-secure computers to access the site.

Ahh makes sense, I forget the cyber world has its criminal goons as well.
