Hi Paul and all,
Just doing some baseline Known Good readings on a brand new Mazda 3 BN 2.5lt MY17.
For reference, known good reading on MAF on snap throttle at WOT was 2.85V ... could not reach the 4V+ recommended by Paul.
Another variable?? Can anyone repeat and confirm?? See attach

Hey Alex! I'm wondering if the ECM on your Mazda was actually going to WOT during that test, as it's bound to be a drive-by-wire system, and may not have been ACTUALLY going wide open during your test. I'd suggest doing a test drive and observing the MAF while winding out first gear. I would expect to see at least 3.5V, if not 4V or higher.
I do like the nice clean in-rush spike right at the beginning of the snap.

Tyler thanks for the follow up .. Yes, the thought had crossed my mind ... Definitely no rev limiter, but there may a protective program ...
Good suggestion on a test drive.... will try this next opportunity and report back.
best

It could be traction control feathering the throttle, in the lower ratios.
