Good morning. I have a 2005 sts with a no crank no start problem. I have scoured the internet and found countless dead threads on the issue. I have codes U0100, and P0700. If I turn on the ignition (push button start) I can start it by jumpering the starter relay. And if I clear the codes the car runs and drives fine, and will restart from the button no problem for roughly 20 minutes. I'm pretty certain the ECM and TCM are not getting the wake up signal from the IPM (instrument panel module). I replaced the TCM and that code went away for a while. I have not yet been able to locate the wiring diagram for the STS, I have found similar models, but none of the wiring matches. I have a hunch that the wire that splits to both the tcm and ecm may have an issue. I'm fairly certain that on the tcm it's blue/wht. But I have not figured out which wire corresponds at the ecm (2 connectors) I have gone over the harness for abraded sections with no luck. I have also cleaned all the grounds (sanded clean). I have had the fuse box out and have found zero corrosion anywhere. Where both the ecm and tcm lose comm, I'm doubting both modules have failed. Anyone have the wiring diagram? Or found a fix?
thanks.
