Customer conplaint:
Dash board lite up car almost stalled so i went home.
So got to the car battery dead found headlights on. Could not charge or jump to start found battery low voltage codes in multiple modules also with some other funny codes.. so replaced battery car would then start. checked charging system found battery voltage at idle with slight dropping loaded( high beams and blower motor on high with a/c on). @2000rpm 14.3volts loaded and unloaded.. soo naturally im putting an alternator in it..
To my ???
While looking at the wiring diagram i seen Pin 2 at the connector which i believe is the blue goes to pcm and pin 3 white comes form and integrated fuse box(forgot the name) Is the wire to the pcm just a voltage sensing wire? I didnt see any data in scan tool that showed alternator duty cycle. Also the power wire comes from a diode-resistor.. what is the purpose of the resistor in that circuit?
