Hi scanner dinner
My name is Jonathan and I've been watching you and learning a lot about my scanner that I just bought I used one it's veris hooked up the lab scope on DC to watch the cycling on the dark green wire and I had oscillations of 12 volts down to 0 and then I switched it over to the white and blue wire and I would get 12 volt sometimes and then it would almost like short out and go down to zero volts so I'm thinking I'm having trouble with with my the field circuit in the alternator so that needs to be replaced I think I just wanted to touch bases with you and let you know what I've done as far as testing and what I found and what my conclusion was so I'll wait for your answer back thanks Paul

Would you be able to post screenshots of what you were seeing with your Verus? That'd definitely help us help you.

Are you experiencing any charging system problems? Or was the alternator just convenient for experimentation?
