I have been having that exact problem for a year and a half now and I already got to the wires well that's what was wrong it was melting so now I'm curious to know and I'm stuck to how to replace it and where can I get that part and is there anyway you could tell me what other trouble codes come with it cuz I am having seven codes coming out. how do I know what was causing that.
Codes:
u0100/ loss's communication with the ecm/power train A
P0897 transmission fluid deteriorized
U1827 and U826 lost communication with angle sensor and Axle sensor module
C0899 device one voltage low
C0561 system disabled intro data storage invalid. Can you please please help me

I don't know how to help on this personally but it may help to get an answer if you're able to take a picture of the melted wiring and the surroundings of the wiring as well. sorry I can't give any assistance here..

The ground wire eyelette goes to that grounding point

A picture speaks a thousand words. Those are all ground wires tied to a single ground eyelet. You can get that eyelet at a parts house. They don't all have to go to a single eyelet, you can group them to two or three wires to an eyelet and have three eyelets bolted to that ground bolt. You'll need to make sure each wire is free of rust or corrosion. You may have to cut some of the wires back to good sections and butt connect fresh wires to the correct length to connect to the ground point. The wires melted because of the resistance caused by the corroded connection. Resistance causes heat. Once you get the wires fixed and connected. Clear your codes, start the engine and see what codes if any return.
