So this is the worst kind of intermittent. Cold weather causes stereo system to reboot, sometimes multiple times. The radio is also the navigation system and hands free which can be a pain when using your car for work in the morning.

This is a known problem with Toyota. They replaced many head units under warranty, sometimes solving the problem, but most of the time did not. We have an aftermarket head unit installed now with the identical problem. Many people have posted "fixes" online, none of which consistently solves the problem for other toyota owners.

I dont know if this is related to the cold weathers effect on some electronic component itself or related to the heater that wouldnt be used in warm weather.

I dont even know where to begin with this problem, but there are a lot of us living with the problem in our toyotas, any help would be appreciated.

no trouble codes or other systems being affected that I find. thanks in advance!
