I have voltage on both outside wires there’s no negative on this 2011 Sentra crank sensor

outside pins are black = ground -- white = 12/5v feed. Signal is red in middle.
unplug sensor and test again. not sure but I believe nissan is 12v feed. Signal is square wave so can't see it with DVOM has to be scope.

Being wrong doesn't bother me, it's being right and not understanding why that does
