Hello!

I was looking for some help on a idle issue.

Whenever I give i press the clutch in while driving, so it goes in neutral and I'm coasting. The RPMs drop to nearly 400rpms then bounces back up to 7-800 which is the normal idle.

Doesn't matter if it's warm og cold, does this if I'm standing still and I rev it and let it drop down, it also goes really low. Almost dies, but doesn't.

Any help regarding this would be appreciated, I myself is suspecting the IACV or maybe a bad alternator?

No DTC. Have access to some PIDS and a scope if necessary.

Sounds like the dashpot/idle stop. If equipped check vacuum line.
btw, I'm not advising altering the idle stop in anyway only check that it's working ;)

Not an unknown issue on Honda of this era usually just remove and clean the IACV and throttle body with carb cleaner and a toothbrush. Try this first before looking for anything more complicated.
ISTR Paul made a video on a similar Honda issue.
I would strongly advise not to alter the throttle idle stop.

I will see if i can find any of ScannerDanners videos.

But i have to say, i took apart the IACV and it is clean as a whistle.
No weird fuel trims, nothing weird (to me atlest) under load.
Nothing to point me in any direction.

Im not sure where the idle stop is located on my car, I did adjust the bottom RPM to a higher level just so it wouldnt almost die when letting go of the gas after Acceleration, but that is only temporary, I want to treat the problem, not the symptom.
It still bounces of the bottom though, and idle drops when turning the wheel, enabling rear defroster and so on.

Did you make sure the shutter valve was rotating freely? You may have, just asking.
