Hi my friend I hope you and your family are good.

I need your hepl.

I am having an issue starting/re-starting an already warm engine on a 2008 jeep 3.7L.

This issue is common among 3.7l engines. Where it occurs in many 3.7L engine cars (jeep and dodge) like Dodge Nitro and Jeep Liberty.

I changed the pcm, injectors, fuel pump, coolant temperature sensor, crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. But the same problem.

When the problem occurs (cranking but no start), if we put some fuel in the throttle the car starts.

Also when the problem occurs, if I disconnect the coolant temperature sensor and connect another external coolant temperature sensor (which is not fitted in the engine), the car starts. But if I reconnect the coolant temperature sensor which is fitted in the engine the problem occurs.

I searched the issue in many forums but no answer.

The ECT temperature is between 94°C to 98°C which is normal.

Also the fan works and stops normally.

Note: when the issue happens, if I connect an external engine coolant temperature sensor (not fitted to the engine) the car starts but if reconnected the engine coolant temperature sensor which is already fitted to the engine the car won't start.
