Chrysler Voyager IV P0403, faulty ECM? was created by robertstiekema
Hi!

I'm reaching out because I'm about to call a faulty computer.
I have a troublecode P0403. Related to EGR circuit.
I tested the Solenoid, works.
I cleaned EGR (just in case), valve works properly. When bypassing the solenoid, the valve closes.

Voltage supply to solenoid is fine as well.
The output on the ECU to the solenoid (ground side switched) has 5 volt with key on. Gives this voltage also when pin unplugged to solenoid (disconnected at ECU connector). So wire to solenoid is ok.
Ground supplies to ECU seem fine, voltage supply too.

I can't explain why the ECU gives 5 volt on a ground switched pin.
With engine on, I get a PWM signal at the ground side of the solenoid. When disconnecting the connector, I just see the 5 volts again.

Oh and the EGR throttle governor gives 3,6 voltage on ground sided ecu pin.

Any help is appreciated!

Robert

In addition, the ground of the ECU to the battery has 1.4 ohms resistance.
Is this too much?
