P0201-Injector Circuit/Open Cylinder 1 was created by arortiz3033
Good Afternoon Everyone!

My vehicle (2003 Dodge Caravan Se V6 3.3) is giving me a (P0201-Injector Circuit/Open Cylinder 1) code.

I have a 2003 (POWERTRAIN DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES) book for town & country, caravan and voyager. On page 88-89 in the book there is a total of 6 tests that i can apply and i applied (test 1) & (test 2).

For (test 2) this is what i have done so far (
).

Right now im stuck on (test 3) on page 88 cause im not grasping what this means at all (Jumper the Fused B+ circuit and the ASD Relay Output circuit in the IPM).

Voltage gets to the fuel injector(s) from the ASD relay. With KOEO this relay is powered on for a couple of seconds and then shuts off with no rpm signal present. The same relay also powers the ignition coils. They want you to pull the relay out and bybass the load circuit of the relay so power gets permanantly to the injector while bypassing the relay. Then a grounded test light, connected to the corresponding wire in the fuel injector connecter should light up if the wiring is ok.

You don`t need to pull the relay and apply this test as suggested...we already know that the control circuit and the relay itself do work just because the other injectors and the coils are powered up/working. Therefor you can just disconnect the fuel injector and check on the harness side, in the connector, with a grounded testlight, wether this testlight lights up for a couple of seconds when opening the switch.

If it does not shine then the feed circuit to the injector is interrupted. If it lights up you still may want to check for voltage drop, but the main interest would shift to the control side of the injector circuit. Reconnecting the connector then backprobe the control wire with a testlight which now is powered to B+. The start the engine and check if the testlight flickers. If it does not pulse check the continuity of the control wire from the connector to the pcm. If there is no open or high resistance within the circuit then you would have to focus on pin fitting in the pcm connector or the pcm itself.

An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

If your able to make a video showing me step by step the diagnostic tests shown on my video that come from the FSM book please lmk how much you would charge.

What were you trying to say to me with that quote at the end?

I also wanted to thank you very much for replying and providing me help it was very generous and thoughtful of you.

God bless you! Amen.
