Hello, I am working on a 2007 Buick Terraza with the 3900 engine it has been running terrible not wanting to shift gears most of the time and when it does shift to a different gear it seems to be at totally random times. I decided to see if I unplugged the maf sensor if it would run better and it did, it seemed to be shifting through the gears and running pretty decent. So then I went out and bought a new maf sensor installed it and now it has the transmission shifting issues again. I am guessing maybe a wiring issue? The other weird thing is the service stabilitrak warning on the instrument cluster is on when the maf sensor is plugged in, but isn't when it is unplugged. Also there are no engine trouble codes on the van even when I unplugged the maf sensor. Thanks everybody for taking the time to read this, I appreciate the help.
Did you purchase a o.e.m. maf sensor? And is the duct work between maf and throttle body installed properly with no air leaks, and do you have a scanner?
I didn't buy a oem part it is a Cardone remanufactured part. The duct work is installed correctly and the duct work looks like it is in good shape, no tears in the rubber or anything. Yes I do have a scan tool. Thank you for responding to my question.
