Please Help!
Got a 2009 Nissan Murano SE with the 3.5 engine. Problem is the ABS and the VDC dash lights are on.
I use a Launch X-431 V+ scanner and I get three codes: C1162, C1161, and C1160. From what information I can get
researching the C1160 code it sounds like the "DECEL G SEN Set needs to be calibrated. The best I can tell the scan tool doesn't
give me this option. I try to erase the codes to see if they come back but they won't erase. This is my granddaughter's vehicle and just before she bought it they put new front brakes on it. After about two days driving it to school is when the lights came on.
What should be my next step? Thanks for any help.
Dennis

Thanks for your response but I already did that.
Under the special functions that was the only option I had.
I think that I did it correctly but I'll try it again and see if it helps.
Thanks for your time.

if you did and the fault returns, graph the signal and watch for drop outs.

go all the way right and count the turns, then all the way left and count the turns they should be even. if that passes i would r&r angle sensor

OK that sounds like a good idea.
I replaced the battery hoping that would help but it didn't. It needed one anyway.
I'll post the results when I get it done.
Thank you.

If I understand the bulletin it means that I would have to take it to a dealership
service department to reprogram the bcm. I was hoping to avoid that and be able to
do the repair myself. But it is what it is and if the steering recalibration doesn't work I'll take it in.
Thanks again for help. I came to the right place.

I did the check on the steering sensor and all looked good.
I did a price check on that sensor just incase and it's just under $1000.00
Going to follow that TSB and have the BCM looked at.
Thanks all.
