2005 Honda Accord 2.4 coupe.
Hello mr, im a huge fan of you.. I have a really good one to diagnose here. is been over 10 techs but no one has been ablet to diagnose a 2005 honda accord 2.4 coupe, i have bought 3 different computers, and 2 fuse boxes because thats what the techcian has told me. The last mechanic i have called today says it has a CAN problem, but he doesn,t have the right tools to do it. i have paid over 1000 dollars with random mechanics but still not able to fix it, i have bought your book, but i dont have that much knowledge yet. i live in charlotte nc, i really need your help, like i said over 10 techs, and still haven't been able to diagnose . i would really paid to see what the real problem is. i would really hope that you can help me.

A labscope would be preferred for this kind of testing. If you don't have access to a labscope, I would start by taking a voltage reading on the K-line Blue wire on pin 7 of the DLC, with Key on, Engine Off. During communication, the voltage on the K-line will toggle between near battery voltage, and near Zero volts. If the line is shorted to power, or ground, communication cannot happen.

If you read Zero volts on the K-line, connect an incandescent test-light to Battery (+), and touch the K-line. Does the test light illuminate? If so, repair find and repair the short to ground.

If you read Battery voltage on the K-line, connect an incandescent test-light to Battery (-), and touch the K-line. Does the test light illuminate? If so, repair find and repair the short to Power.
