Hello all, about 3 years ago I purchased a used 03 Ram 1500 4.7. Earlier this year it blew head gaskets(Thermostat gave out), threw a rod, and cracked the block. I have replaced it with a new engine but it has a bit of a misfire. This misfire was also present before the engine swap. I used the same fuel injectors and sensors. Rarely the truck runs perfectly without misfire, but most times its pretty rough. At times on startup the engine will idle real low <500rpm and begin to almost stall out and increase RPM to fight the low idle. The CEL comes on periodically with a P0440, P0442, and P056. The fuel cap is in rough shape and I will be replacing it. I don't think that this would cause a rough idle. I'm assuming its almost definitely a fuel delivery issue. The injectors are factory and their housings are cracked (no leaking fuel), and I'm sure the fuel pump is factory as well. Those are quite expensive to replace and I want to make sure exactly what the issue is before I drop a bunch of cash on parts I didn't really need to swap out. I purchased a cheap scanner, Ancel AD310, and hooked it up to live view and got the following readings at IDLE
DTC_CNT 1
FUELSYS1 OL (changed to CL at temperature)
FUELSYS2 N/A
LOAD_PCT 4.7%
SHRTFT1 0 TO -3.1%
SHRTFT3 -100%
LONGFT1 1.6%
LONGFT3 -100%
MAP 33
RPM 611
SPARKADU 12
IAT 46C
TP% 11.4
O2B1S1(V) 0.800 TO 0.075
SHRTFTB1S1 0 TO -3.9
O2B1S2(V) .780 TO 0.075
I'm concerned about Fuel bank 2 being N/A, I'm assuming there should be 2 banks seeing as it's a v8? Also concerned about the -100 coming from fuel trim 3. Is it odd that there is no fuel trim 2?
Any guidance on how to properly interpret this information and diagnose the issue? Thanks!
