hey guys i am working on a 2008 buick enclave 3.3L v6 (i believe).

i am dealing with a few things

- the vehicles runs fine and drives good, but when you go to shut the vehicle off and key out of ignition the car runs for like 1 minute and then stalls on its face

- after the key is removed from ignition and the car is fully shut off in about 10 minute of it sitting the battery goes dead( replaced the battery about 2 months ago)

code found is: p0662 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit High ( i can also here the throttle body plate click about every minute as well i dont know if that would be related)

if i can get a bit of guidance on where to start for this diagnostic proccedure

- i have confirmed that the charging system is good

3.3L engine? Are you sure it's not a 3.6L?

Was P0662 the only code that was set? Because the dash freaking out may suggest a network issue. Have you scanned all modules for codes?

The throttle plate behavior would suggest an ECM that is going on and offline. Again, checking all modules for codes may reveal some clues.

Has the engine or powertrain been out of this vehicle in the recent past?

sorry yes its the 3.6L
to my knowledge i don't know if any other electrical work has been done
i was surfing shopkey i found that the instrument panel fuse box is possibly a problem

i will try scanning all the modules and i will post the codes Tyler.

have you seen this type of issue before, is this a common issue?? the buick is as if it diesels for like 1 minute after you pull the key from the ignition,

some people on a forum online say it can be from water intrusion in behind the dash cluster. others say that bcm, tcm or srs modules can be bad and cause the power back feed to the pcm hence the heavy parazitic draw on the battery

its hard to know where to start it quite over whelming. but i will post the code report when i get them.

I have not seen this specific symptom before, no.

I was asking about recent work because there are several ways to easily install weird problems after dropping the powertrain out. PCM grounds on the rear cylinder head, main block ground on the front cylinder head, EBCM connector, fuse box connectors, like that. I'm not saying ANY of those are your problem, just suspect areas if there's been recent work done.

I've heard the same thing about water intrusion, owed to poor installation of replacement windshields. A backfeed is definitely a possibility.
