Is this a power train error code starting with the suffix P or is this hexadecimal code?
With the corresponding wiring diagram locate the relevant power supplies and ground connections of the control unit. Then, under load condition - with the engine running and the transmission connected - measure these power supplies and ground connections for the correct voltage levels.
