An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

There is an error in the FSM, step one should read 80 Nm instead of 50 and step three 55 Nm. Number 4 and number 6 seem o be inverted as well, for the tightening sequence you may better refer to the second picture.

There is obviously something wrong with the torque figures. Nm should be higher than ft lb not lower. Tightening sequence also looks suspect. How'd you find that, Juergen?

Right, I got that. :silly: I was more interested in knowing the sources for both specifications. As in, was one from Mitchell, another from AllData? There is obviously something wrong with the torque figures. Nm should be higher than ft lb not lower. Tightening sequence also looks suspect.

Question about the cam synchronizer I have the alignment tool engine set on tdc compression stroke. Does the housing have to be in a certain spot as long as the connector is plugging in without it pulling on the connector pigtail? It’s the last thing we have to do before we fire it up

Wonder if the 38 degrees is critical because I’m looking online people are saying it’s more of a position so the wiring harness isn’t pulled tight
