My Sons 2013 Dodge dart had its ABS lights on. Scanning, fault code read LR sensor C0037 (LR sensor signal compare failure) and C0037-1 (circuit current out of range). My son bought a sensor but ABS light still on, no cruise control adn traction light still on. Erasing the codes did not help.

I did the usual procedure - KOEO, sensor plugged in, one wire read 11.88V (feed) and the other wire read 2.4 V; After umplugging, feed read 11.88V and the other read 1.3V, Im assuming the signal wire and circuit design is a pull up. With test light to battery (+), unplugged, touching the signal, TL not lit.and scope showed a flat 0V line.

KOER, sensor plugged in,  feed read 13.18 V and signal read 1.6V; unplugged feed read 13.42V and signal read 0.4V. I have no LED Test light. What other test can be done? With these readings is it possible that driver for LR sensor is busted, considering that the other three WSS are working.

The right WSS is a working one. KOEO, sensor plugged in read 10.22 V, signal read 11mv. Unplugged, feed read 10.47 V, signal read 9.0mv. At KOER, sensor plugged, feed read 11.40V and signal read 10.1mv; sensor unplugged feed read 11.78 V and signal read 8.3 mv...

You´re most probably dealing with a magneto-resistive sensor, what you call the feed wire is actually the signal wire. The "feed voltage" will carry the wheel speed information, as the wheel spins the voltage will periodically drop, between 0.5 and 1 volt typically. The other wire is a ground wire.

You could connect the left sensor to the right harness and spin the whell while observing the scanner data. That way you will check the new sensor, just remember NEW = never ever worked. Next you may connect the right sensor to the left harness and confirm/discard wiring issues.

An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

I unplugged the RR WSS that was working and plugged in the LR WSS and it works well. Im struggling to check the ABS module wiring due to its location.

I will update on what I find as soon as I am able to.

Thanks again Juergen.

Thank you Cheryl...I am just about to do that...ABS is just in the most awkward corner side of the engine compartment and need to take out the entire integrated box to access ABS connector...

UPDATE...ABS module has power and ground; signal/feed and ground from the module read same voltage as in the sensor. I am now suspecting TONEWHEEL. Diligent research led me to the presence of a tonewheel inside the hub and I have a feeling there is a need to replace the bearing. Initially I thought the smooth surface at the otherside of the rear rotor where the sensor is bolted in was the tonewheel itself ... it is inside the hub where the bearing is located.

I was able to take out the left rear wheel bearing/tone wheel and installed a new one. ABS and traction control lights all gone and cruise control working...I'd say its a FIX.
