General Motors Software Question was created by Rapidrobert1
Hi everyone,
Got a question on how I can find out what software updates have been done on my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3 liter flex fuel pickup. I once heard how to do this and unfortunately have forgotten. I thought to do this I needed to go to Mode 6 in my scan tool to find this information out and then go to some website to decifer what updates have been performed. Can anyone help me out with this?

With Snap-on, I select a module, then "Data Display". Next, select "Module Information".
Sometimes, it's in "Functional Test" \ "Calibration/PN".

Yes but Scanner Danner gave me a website to go to but I can't remember what it was and it told what the software updates were about.

The calibrations are in Mode 9 on the OBD-II side. And that'll only get you the powertrain.I thought to do this I needed to go to Mode 6 in my scan tool to find this information out and then go to some website to decifer what updates have been performed.
