hello I am Fino from Mauritius, very glad to make part of your group.
I like very much diy.in various fields.
Having difficulties to close the doors of my VW Bora 2000 (1399cc petrol engine nu ahw302414),  I decided to open the panel of the driver's door. Having found nothing suspect.  After this operation, the car start and shut down after one or two seconds.
I  have good sparks,  injectors clean, pump  ok.
I have no wiring diagrams, can anyone helps me in the following step to take.
Hoping to hear  soon good advice,  thanks a lot in advance

Fino,

when the car shuts down after a couple of seconds this may be an immobilizer issue. Does the key symbol in the dash go out when you open the switch or does it stay on. Do you have a second key (programmed) you can try to start the car?

An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

Hye thanks you very much for your reply
I have only one key .
The key symbol stay on when switch is on ,
A private key manufactuer put it on test and told that the key is ok .
In this case shall i do the five volts check ?
If yes the switch must be on or off ?
thank you very much for my first reply .

When the key symbol stays on thhen the key is NOT recognized and there is no start permisson!

The key may be good but the antenna could be bad, a wire might be broken.......there are many possibilities.
With a capable scanner -VCDS, Launch, Autel etc, you can enter address 17 - instrument cluster. The immobilizer is part of the cluster and MVB 21 to 24 will show you information on this system.

If you´re not familiar with immobilizers and how they work it may be easier to contact a locksmith. On this car it is easy to erase the immobilizer, manipulating the ecm.

Hello everybody sorry to bother still with my vw bora that won't start.
With the negative pole of the battery disconnect one side of the test light on battery negative and the other side to the floating negative wire the test light turn's on,
voltage check in between the negative of the battery and the  negative floating wire 12;76 volts
same voltage on fuses 12 ; 13; 14; 15, 16; 41, 42
but 0;49 volt on fuse 5;6;7;9;11and 29
And finally zero voltage and no light on fuse 1, 2,  3, 4, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 34;and 48
It seem like a short to ground (correct me if i am wrong).
Sometimes the fuel pump have voltage and sometimes no
I would like to disconnect and clean all the ground wire on the body and then reconnect one by one with voltage or testlight check
Is this good for the computer ?
All suggestions are welcome. Thanks a lot;
