My Dad's 2012 Accord has been burning oil and fouling spark plugs for a while, and we finally looked into it. Sadly we were a year too late to get it in for the recall. I was wondering if anyone had performed this recall and if it can really be done in a day
I have not done it. But, here, is Alldata's labor time for piston rings.

I've sent many customers to the dealer with that TSB in hand. Dunno how many got their rings replaced or not. :silly: The ones that didn't get recall coverage just ate plugs/oil for the rest of their life.
I sure as hell wouldn't do piston rings for 6.2 hrs. Cylinder head labor in Mitchell is 11.0 hrs by itself. Oil pan is 2.3 hrs. Add some time for the pistons and rings, and you're closer to 15.0 hrs.
