Dear gentlemen,

I have been an owner of Opel Vectra A since 2011. 
The engine type is 16SV.
When I short the diagnose harness holes A and B with ignition switch on.
The signal lamp begins to blink.
First it blinks "12" three times it means that diagnose loop begins.
Then it blinks "16" three times according to diagnose code enlistment that means: "Knock sensor malfunction".
Then it blinks "12" three times that means "end of diagnose procedure". And loop is over.

The question is, that if this specific car does not have Knock sensor at all, what specific malfunction could "16" diagnose light code refer to?
