1994 s10 blazer constant injector control on crank
I've been trying to diagnose this 94 s10 blazer 4x4 vin w, no start condition, excessive fuel on spark plugs. First thing I did was connect a fuel pressure gauge and did a leak down test and it looked good, these vehicles have a history of bad spider injectors and regulator so I replaced it. Next step was to check that timing and spark was correct so I removed the distributor, since it was loose already, and set the timing to #1 @ TDC, and voila it starts up, but only with fuel injector circuit unplugged. So now I've started testing the injector control circuit it has a constant 12v with key on pink/white wire, but seems to be grounded with key off, not sure if that is a short? and the blue ecm control wire turns on when I crank the engine but doesnt pulse it stays on constant until I turn the key back off, I also tested them at the ecm with the same results. I'm leaning towards a bad ecm, but not 100%. Has anyone else seen this on the injector control circuit? Any suggestions as to where to look next? Another thing is I tried to get CEL codes by jumping the 2 pins on the obd1 port and I get nothing.
Thanks in advance
You could cut the wire at the ecm where you can repair it easily. Check the side that goes back to the injectors see if it’s grounded all the time. Then check the ecm side see if it’s grounded. If it is the driver is shorted
