2001 Silverado 5.3. My son cut his muffler off to make it sound cool. Now he keeps getting o2 sensor codes. I replaced the first one. 2nd one had corrosion in electrical connections so I cleaned and added dielectric grease. A couple weeks later here are the codes...
P1133, P0138, P0158, P0300.

Would cutting off your muffler just before the muffler cause this? Why else would all these 02 sensors go bad at the same time?

The source of all your 02 problems is first, you cannot use dielectric grease on an 02 connector. Clean those connections of grease and dry them out. I think this will clear up the other codes. I'd put that muffler back on as the engine and 02 system are engineered for it. If he wants sound, get a borla.
