But before going too far down that path, I'd suggest a hard reset. Take the battery cables off the battery and jump them together. Have a cup of coffee, then reassemble. This generation of Heep seems especially susceptible to 'logic lock' and other weird problems that only a battery disconnect will resolve. It may also need a Proxi Configuration Alignment afterwards.

Shaban1477 wrote: so does that means without a certified key or programmed key the ignition will not turn on even if key is turn to the on position? I ask this because somebody was aguing with me that even without a programmed key the ignition has to turn on.
I couldn't find a straight answer about that in service info.
To me, it makes sense that the ignition would NOT turn on without a recognized, programmed key. It'd be just like if someone didn't have the correct blade key for an ignition lock cylinder. But I could be way off.

Actually, I should be thanking you for this one. Not long after this thread, I had a 2014 Cherokee towed in with the exact same codes and symptoms. :silly: A couple other techs went after the CAN network first before giving up.
Because of this thread, I knew exactly where to go with my diag. New WIN fixed it right up. But, for whatever reason, mine didn't require key programming afterwards. Just plug and play. Service info kinda lied to me on that one.
