I have a 2015 jeep cherokee, this is not jeep grand cherokee but jeep cherokee 2.4 litre engine. when you turn the ignition key to the on position, no acc and no ignition and no start. RAdio frequency hub module set B1A35;00 code. wireless igniton node was replaced with a used one but we could not still have the ignition to light and new key was used to turn on the ignition but still no luck. when you switch the key to the on position the K line wakes up and start communicating but no igniton. meanwhile the original key can be used to lock and unlock the doors so i was wandering why radio frequency module will set that code. so i need to understand when and how we can get ignition to turn on. because a friend of mine think that even without a programmed key ignition has to turn on. i need help on this system. the key is a fobik rotary type.

I don't know that a used WIN will work in this application? It's my understanding that if the WIN is replaced, the keys get replaced, too. They're married to each other when programmed and can't be reused.

But before going too far down that path, I'd suggest a hard reset. Take the battery cables off the battery and jump them together. Have a cup of coffee, then reassemble. This generation of Heep seems especially susceptible to 'logic lock' and other weird problems that only a battery disconnect will resolve. It may also need a Proxi Configuration Alignment afterwards.

thanks so much for giving me a headsup on this one. i wil do battery disconnect and see if it works. so does that means without a certified key or programmed key the ignition will not turn on even if key is turn to the on position? I ask this because somebody was aguing with me that even without a programmed key the ignition has to turn on.

I couldn't find a straight answer about that in service info. :(

To me, it makes sense that the ignition would NOT turn on without a recognized, programmed key. It'd be just like if someone didn't have the correct blade key for an ignition lock cylinder. But I could be way off.

hello tyler this is a quick update on this topic that i posted here some few month ago.
this vehicle is now fixed. New WIN and new key is what we programmed to fix this car. so it is like you said used WIN and used fobik key could not work.
these wirless ignition nodes are one time use.
THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT.

No problem at all!

Actually, I should be thanking you for this one. Not long after this thread, I had a 2014 Cherokee towed in with the exact same codes and symptoms. :silly: A couple other techs went after the CAN network first before giving up.

Because of this thread, I knew exactly where to go with my diag. New WIN fixed it right up. But, for whatever reason, mine didn't require key programming afterwards. Just plug and play. Service info kinda lied to me on that one.

As soon as new win was put in, it recognized that the key is in ignition before we even went with programming but with the used one it was as if nothing is in ignition anyway we learn together.
