My son bought a 2006 jeep grand cherokee. A few times I've had a intermittent problem, the dash goes out, radio stops working, blower fan stops and head lights go out . Engine stays running and fog lights stay on. They after a few seconds everything returns to normal. Does the instrument cluster have a module on the can bus. Anyone have a schematic of the instrument panel. I know this being intermittent problem may be hard to find.

Sounds like a ground problem. I’d check at the blower motor since it’s the easiest of the loads.

It's odd when problem occurs you shut jeep on restart and everything goes back to normal.

This could be an ignition switch issue. Since its a Chrysler see wiring diagrams to see if they all share the same key on function from switch then use a 4 amp bulb to test the key on feed from switch if it goes dim or out completely that would be the issue.
