I have a 2006 Chevy aveo. With a charging problem. I'd like to full field the alternator to make sure it's not the problem. Isn't the voltage regulator separate and not in the alternator itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks pretty simple. If there's power on the pink wire and the and large B+ wire, and the alternator case is grounded it should charge.
