The down side i am seeing is the tipm. These are notorious for relay issues for the permanently mounted (soldered on) relays having issues / failing. (This would cause no power to injectors via the auto shutdown relay or a related circuit issue)
www.eautorepair.net . this will have your info needed for diagrams and any possible fuse box locations for your vehicle. As well as recalls, tsb's, and maintenance info for any trouble codes you may have as well as wiring diagrams.

here's a link to the ebay page for the manual on cd just make sure to ask seller if it includes the 2.8 liter diesel in the cd otherwise the 2007 should have it. the other source I found was a sketchy website that when i revisited it made me believe it was a fake site to scam cc numbers.

I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram for the diesel Nitro or Jeep KK. The '07 gas shows a 5V supply to APP1, CKP and TPS on a brown/orange wire. Do you have 5V on the CKP now?

If that's unplugged it'll likely be Vref and a pull down signal wire.
Is P0698 still setting? And what other symptoms do you have?
