Is it Engine Speed related? Or, Wheel Speed related?

It seems to be engine speed related, but it will not do it while free revving the engine or brake torquing. Myself and 2 other techs thought it was engine related, hence the new motor.

Is the flex plate new or from the old engine?
I imagine if it was damaged you would have not transferred it to the new engine, but it could have been an oversight.
It wouldn't be the first LS engine with a cracked flex plate (flywheel)

A set of "chassis ears" is invaluable for cases like this. I use these.

Funny that you mentioned chassis ears. I was using them about the same time as you responded. The noise appears to be coming from the transfer case. Thanks everyone for the help.
