Hey guys I have a 2015 Passat diesel, wiper fluid doesn’t work, the wipers work on all speeds and when I activate the fluid they are still working as normal but no fluid comes out, checking the plug and pump I found that that black wire was ground and good but the greed/red wire gave me nothing leading me to think it’s a fuse, haven’t been able to find a fuse properly and the ones I was suggested to check are fine, same situation for the relay^. I took the pump out and tried to actuate it with my power probe but no luck. So now I am confused as to whether it’s the pump or a wiring issue or both. Either way it’s frustrating
I would repeat your testing odds of both being bad are slim... the wiper switch works on sending a different resistance signal to the control module on the same wire instead of a different wire for each function so there's not really any easy testing to be done at switch(its also very hard to access )if you have access to a scan tool with live data you may be able to find the pid for washer command but it seems like I was not able to when I went through it, I have replaced a wiper stalk for this problem but the washer pump tested fine also I confirmed stalk with oscilloscope on signal wire and signal was incorrect value causing it to only wipe and not activate sprayer, also I just love how the fsm left out the fuse diagram for this year passat..... Tyler suggested it was printed at 4:30 on a Friday and they couldn't be bothered to go find the info!
