ECM replace was created by Paul ius 1
Hallo, my question is about ECU replace. I am have problem with charging system. Ford Focus 3 generation 1.6, alternator controlled by ECU through LIN bus. Problem is no control signal from ECM. Alternator and wire is good, connectors the same. Is necessary to programming new ECU after replace? AND HOW TO DO THIS? What about Immo? And if I will install not new used ECM will it need to programming?

When replacing ecm/ecu/pcm you will need to have it programmed to your car. This will be the same for new or used ecm/ecu/pcm. Along with antitheft relearn, cam-crank variation relearn etc.
