Intermittent stalling issue was created by Danmerica
The problem vehicle is a 92 Dakota with a 5.2.
I did find the problem, it took awhile but I did find the issue. Now I have some questions about what I found.

The truck would stall randomly it didn’t matter when or where or condition though it would happen more after a heavy rain. And By stall I mean turn off like a light switch.

I never could replicate the issue till I found out the main ground from the head to the firewall was a bad connection. And a leaky cowl dripping water right on the firewall ground screw made it worse.
There was also an issue with the radio speakers grounding out on the cab. That one I never understood but I fixed the wiring.

This ground issue was causing the coil driver in the pcm to shut down which shut the truck off

What I need to figure out is after I found the ground issue and replicating the stall. Sometimes the coil driver would come back a few minutes later. Sometimes not till the next day. The last time it took the pcm a week to work the driver again. Totally random when it came back. My question is there some sort of fail safe thats triggered in the pcm. I’m trying to understand this issue.
Thanks
